Owning & operating a restaurant, every chef's ultimate dream, is finally the reality for Chef Ed Straub, who together with his wife, Cindy, is making the Harbor House Grille their dream come true. Originally from Pennsylvania, Chef Ed Straub began his cooking career at the tender age of 14, where his boss, a Danish chef who would become his mentor, told Ed he was a “natural” in the kitchen. Ed quickly learned under “Palle’s” tutelage. They traveled the country together for fifteen years, from Massachusetts & Rhode Island, to North Carolina & Minneapolis, working at such renowned hotel restaurants as Marriott, Hyatt & the Grove Park Inn. After stepping away from commercial kitchens for several years, but not completely from the restaurant world, Chef Ed decided to fulfill his lifelong dream of owning his own restaurant.
And so it begins, Chef Ed’s vision & mission of creating delectable mouth watering meals, while co-owner, Cindy, ensures each person entering through their door receives the ultimate attention to detail for the best possible dining experience.
